There is a long list of critically important issues that should be of concern to NYSUT members, such as the importance of well-funded public schools, improvements to Tier 6, etc. NYSUT’s Voter Guide represents a full slate of bipartisan candidates who have been endorsed because of their positions on these issues. If you support these pro-education candidates, I ask you to think about going a step further. Consider turning that support into action by donating your time to make phone calls or send text messages to fellow NYSUT members on behalf of the candidates. If you want to make an even more significant impact, consider knocking on doors to discuss issues in-person in what are known as “labor walks.”
