On the weekend of November 1, Kat, Jody, Felicia, Flo and I traveled to Stamford Connecticut for a Leadership Conference hosted by the Nassau County Regional NYSUT Office. Over the course of a very intense weekend we tackled issues no less serious than the future of our union. This was done largely through facilitated discussions devoted to the question of how Nassau County locals can overcome the serious external challenges we face and how we can become more successful in years to come. We were treated to an inspiring conversation with Kevin Dalton, President of the Toledo Federation of Teachers.
