On December 23rd, our union sister, Elmont Teaching Assistant Association President Mary Jane Havrylkoff, lost her home in a fire. She and her extended family are all safe, but they lost everything aside from some family photos and three of their four cats.  You can read more about it here.

Mary Jane is a devoted unionist who recently organized her colleagues to form the Elmont Teaching Assistant Association.  She is always the first to volunteer for every task – both with the children at school and within the union.  Now she urgently needs our help.  If you would like to contribute, friends have started a GoFundMe site.
